Over the next couple of days (maybe longer) this blog will be going through some changes.
So sorry for any inconveniences and please bare with me (“,)

EDIT: So it’s taking much longer to implement some of the changes we had first anticipated! But bare with us as we bring you a better site. – Thanks Didi xXx

>Gone But Not Forgotten!

23 Feb

>

I started to write this post back on New Year’s Eve, but didn’t quite feel up to sharing it with you then.

You may already know that my dad passed away at the beginning of December. It was a HUGE shock to the system and I’m still quite devastated by the whole thing.

My mum and dad are my everything! So much of my character comes from them! – My stubbornness, my OCD, the need to keep things that really should be thrown away. No it’s not called hoarding! #sideeye. My love of football, these are just some of the things I have to thank my dad for. Back in the day, I used to help my dad fill in the pools slip; so come Saturday afternoon we would be glued to the TV to watch the results come in. #goodtimes

I miss the little things about him, his hands. The way he would purse his lips together when he watched TV. The straight face he held when he broke wind and I’d stare at him in disgust! – I’m quite positive he was laughing on the inside, but he never showed it! The way he said “bloody hell!” there’s so much more I could list, but in short I just miss him!

There have been days where I’ve just wanted to lie in bed and sleep the day away, just so I don’t have deal with it all! To say it’s been a challenging time is an understatement! Not only having to deal with everything that came with repatriating him home, but also with people’s expectations of me! – It’s been A LOT!!!

In the beginning I cried every day, some days harder than others. Now I don’t cry so often! That doesn’t mean the pain has gone away, it just means I’m starting to learn how to manage it! – They say time will help heal the pain, but I’m heartbroken, and there is nothing you can do to fix that! – It’s learning how to manage the pain that time helps with!

The last few months have been the most testing of my life to date and I’d like to thank all those that have shown their love, understanding, patience and support.

I could go on and on, but I won’t and I’ll stop here and say, that yes I’ll be back blogging and filling up your timeline sooner than you know (I have a lot planned) but it may take me a minute or two!

>Where Have I Been??

1 Mar

>

Where haven’t I been more like! …Sadly nowhere, but let’s pretend I’ve been sunning myself on a beach somewhere!

But unfortunately *sighs* nothing exciting has happened! – I’ve simply been busy with work! :(

…Some of you may be aware that late last year I “moved” offices, so I’ve been temporarily working from home! Not ideal, but ends must and all that jazz!! – So the last few weeks have seen me going on viewings almost every other day! – If you think moving house is difficult, try looking for D1 property with a minimum of 2000 sq ft in London (preferably in Southwark) that is DDA compliant!!

So not only has that been going on, but my “new” laptop gave out on me and I had to endure working on my old one which meant no blogging or twitter!

Anyway enough about that, what can you expect to see in the next couple of days?

• Review of IMATS (I know, I know! IMATS was like a month and Sundays ago, but I have a review for you all nonetheless)
• Review of my Sonia Kashuk brushes
Swatches of the Urban Decay Alice in Wonderland palette
• A Look at new products from Garnier
• Some Treats from Bourjois
• Initial thoughts of MACs new Crème blushes from the MAC in Lillyland collection
• Initial thoughts of Anne Semonin products
• And much more!

I’ve missed you all so much! And to show my appreciation, I’ll be having a giveaway, so watch out for that! ;o)

>I’ve Been Gone For A Minute….

14 Sep

…But I’m back with the Jump Off!! *who remembers that tune?*

Anywhoo!!! I’ve not been blogging for a hot minute! Apologies for that, I had a few technical issues with blogger a couple weeks back, and now I’m over busy with work!! :(

But not to fear I’ll be back, I’ve got a few posts lined up! Namely a couple reviews, thoughts & feedback on the Illamasqua & Maybelline events, a How-To and also a fashion post, which will be my first (hopefully more will follow).

So stayed tuned for that, hope you’ve all been well, and again I’d like to take the opportunity to thank you all for taking the time to read my blog, it means a lot!

>Bargain Hunter Series!

>

We all like to treat ourselves from time to time and it would be nice to save a little while doing so. Especially with today’s economy! So I’ve decided to start a series of posts titled Bargain Hunter.

In this series I will blog about sales, discount codes, eBay deals & steals and special offers, etc.

This will not be limited to the UK or just beauty/cosmetic products, I’ll include offers for hotels, restaurants, days out and things of that nature! – I’ll also try to make it as internationally friendly as I can!

Here’s the first one for you! (“,)

I hope this series helps some of you out! (“,)

>Drafts, Drafts Drafts!

8 Jun

>

I’ve got a few posts in draft form for one reason or another (mostly because I get distracted by other things and so forget and then don’t get a chance to publish it), but today that will end and I shall be publishing them all (or at least try).

Some of the posts are reviews of products I purchased last year! And some are hauls of past collections. I do apologise for that, as I know past collections can be hard to get hold of once they are gone.

After today I shall post more regularly (I promise otherwise Yinka aka Vex In The City will kill me LOL) and I’ll try not to save them as drafts in the future!

*edit* Ok so that didn’t quite go the way I planned, the posts are coming! :s

>I’ve been gone for a minute…

…but I’m back with the jump off! (LOL do you remember that song?)

So I’ve been a bad beauty blogger scrap that I’ve been a bad blogger in general, but that is all about to change! My workload is fairly undercontrol (I run my own business so it’s never totally undercontrol, but you catch my drift) and I can report on the things that make me happy! Two of which is all things hair and makeup!

I’ve got a couple of hair tips posts coming your way, so look out for that, as well as some reviews.

I hope everyone is in top form, and I’ll be back soon! (“,)
